The University of Algarve hosted, last week, a group of faculty and staff from various African countries – Egypt, Algeria, Libya, and Jordan – under the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility projects – MARE NOSTRUM (coordinated by UAlg) and JAMIES (coordinated by the University of Minho).

The activities took place across UAlg’s campuses, where the invited faculty members met with the teaching staff of the Higher Institute of Engineering and had the opportunity to give a class. During their visit to UAlg, they also had the chance to meet and get to know the team at UAlg Tec Campus (through CRIA), the Office for Evaluation and Quality, the IT Services, the Center for Marine Sciences (CCMAR), and the Laboratory for Health, Aging, and Movement, in addition to visiting the Student Office at Penha and Gambelas.

From this week of work, promoted and organized by the International Relations and Mobility Office in collaboration with ISE, the desire for future joint projects in important areas such as digitalization and climate change remains, alongside others, which will contribute to strengthening cooperation between UAlg and these North African countries.
