Desert Research and Management (DRM) aims to be a leading platform for researchers and practitioners to share their findings and contribute to the advancement of agricultural and water sciences, with a special focus on dryland ecosystems. The journal covers a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Water Resources Management: Strategies for sustainable water use, irrigation techniques, and water conservation in arid and semi-arid regions.
- Soil and Land Management: Soil fertility, erosion control, and sustainable land use practices.
- Agricultural Innovations: Advances in crop production, agroforestry, and desert agriculture to enhance food security.
- Climate Change Adaptation: Impact assessments and mitigation strategies for climate variability in drylands.
- Biodiversity and Ecosystem Restoration: Conservation of native flora and fauna, desertification reversal, and ecosystem rehabilitation.
Peer Review and Submission
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial appraisal by the Editor-in-Chief. If deemed suitable, they proceed to a single-anonymized peer review by independent experts. The final decision on acceptance or rejection rests with the Editor. Manuscripts must be submitted online via the OJS system.

The journal is intended for agricultural engineers, water scientists, soil and environmental specialists, agronomists, and professionals engaged in dryland research, desertification control, and sustainable utilization of arid environments for food production.
